EA Studio provided architectural and interior design for this 14,000 s.f. ground floor addition and renovation to Springmoor Life Care Retirement Community, completed in 2013.  The         design provides residents with a new 75-foot lap pool, locker rooms, exercise and aerobics areas, sauna, beauty parlor, treatment rooms, a new resident living room area, grill & bar,     theater, and game room. Large, open spaces and visual connections between spaces were made possible through a thorough understanding and application of code requirements in effect during

the original building’s construction. Design consideration had to be given to the thoughtful use of the existing space to limit the amount of resident storage units taken up by the newly renovated areas.  This project was begun while with Edwards Associates and completed in collaboration with Smith Sinnett Architecture.
